Cube Steak in Tomato Sauce
This is a quick and easy recipe that you will find in a lot of Puerto Rican homes.
My mom always made this for me, and I love it with Tostones (green plantain)on the side. The sauce is delicious and the steaks come out so soft like butter. Marinating them with vinegar, onion, peppers and seasoning a few hours ahead, or even a day before is the best way to make them. You will love this recipe, and don’t forget the tostones!
Ingredients
2 pounds cube steak
2 tbsp of olive oil
¼ cup white vinegar
1 tbsp of sofrito
1-2 garlic cloves
1 can of tomato sauce
