Puerto Rican Spaghetti
Ingredients
1 tbsp olive oil
1 lb ground chicken
1 packet of sazon with color
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 tsp of adobo
1/2 packet of chicken powder
1 jar of your favorite Spaghetti sauce
1/2 tsp of dried oregano
8 ounces of dried spaghetti
1/3 cup of yellow peppers
1/3 cup of yellow onions
Parmesan cheese
Salt & pepper to taste
Chicken Seasoning Instructions
Season chicken with 1/2 tsp of adobo, 1/4 tsp of salt, 1/4 black pepper, and 1/4 of oregano.
Instructions
Heat a saute pan on medium heat, and cook chicken with a little bit of water until golden brown. Once the chicken is cook season the chicken with adobo, oregano, and pepper. Set aside.
In the meant time in a large pot, add 8 cups of water and bring to a boil to cook the pasta. Cook the pasta per package instructions, and then drain and set aside.
Add the olive oil to the saute pan and add the peppers and onions. Cook for 2-3 minutes until translucent. Add the sofrito, sazon, garlic minced, chicken, and spaghetti sauce.
Add the pasta to the sauce and toss together to coat the pasta with the sauce.
Add parmesan cheese, and combine well.
This dish can serve up to 4 people. Enjoy with tostones (green plantains) or even white rice.
