
Rice with Chicken 🇵🇷 A mi estilo!
Arroz con Pollo
Ingredients
1 pound chicken breast chopped
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp of onion powder
1 minced garlic
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp Sazón
1/4 cup medium onion chopped
1/4 red bell pepper chopped
1 tbs of sofrito
2 cups white medium-grain rice (rinsed)
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup of water
2 tbs of tomato sauce
2 tbs of vegetable oil
Salt and pepper to taste and adobo for that extra kick!
Ingredients for the chicken
1 tsp of adobo
1 tsp of oregano
1 tsp of garlic
1 tsp of onion powder
1 tsp of black pepper
1 tsp of Sazon color (1 packet)
Refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
Instructions
In a deep pan with lid brown the chicken first 8-10 with 1 tbs of oil. Cover the pan and let it simmer. Remove from pan, and reserve the liquid from the chicken.
Add 2 cups of chicken broth to the reserve liquid in the pan. Set aside
Heat the oil in another large pan to medium high heat. Cook the onion and peppers for 5 minutes to soften.
